Supporting open access to your publications

Open Access Support Scheme

The University has set up an Open Access Support Scheme to help you make your peer reviewed journal articles Open Access by way of paying an Article Processing Charge (APC) to the publisher.

This way you will be able to benefit from immediate, unrestricted access to the final published version of your paper.

To apply to the fund please complete the form at: http://www.salford.ac.uk/library/research/repository/APC

There are no submission deadlines.

To find out more about your Open Access options, you can contact Helen Kenna, the Repository Manager at the Library on extension 56370 or on h.kenna@salford.ac.uk.

UK Study Visit for Ukraine Educationalists – 10th March 2014 (London)

The study tour is part of British Council’s “Internationalising Higher Education” programme, aiming to encourage strategic collaboration between the UK and Ukraine in the area of higher education. It is hoped that the programme will be a catalyst for tangible steps toward reforming the higher education system in Ukraine.

University-Industry Link: UK-China Higher Education Forum – 25th March 2014 (Bristol)

Co-hosted by the University of Bristol, British Council and the UK Higher Education International Unit, the forum brings together UK leaders of higher education sector, industry and government departments to join the debate with 25 senior leaders and managers from Chinese Universities and government departments. This is the fifth time that British Council hosts UK-China Higher Education Forum following the success of the previous four at Derby, York, Cardiff and Nottingham respectively in the past years.

Event aims and objectives

The forum aims to provide a platform for university leaders, managers and industry/government representatives to discuss how to engage with each other for mutual benefit.

Who can attend?

This event is aimed at university senior leaders and managers, university heads of international offices and representatives from government and industry.
