Events to celebrate International Open Access Week

14 October 2015

19-25 October is International Open Access Week.  The University of Salford is offering a series of events to mark this and to support researchers to increase the reach and impact of their research by making it more openly accessible.  It is increasingly common for researchers to make the outputs of their research freely available online, including releasing published papers and the data sets that underpin the findings.

Making research open access is becoming more important for researchers, both in increasing the visibility and impact of research and to comply with funders’ policies.

During International Open Access Week, we will be running workshops for staff and postgraduate research students covering ORCID, Open Access Publishing and Research Data Management.
