About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Students are asked to contact placement 6 weeks prior to commencing placement.
Prior to commencement students will be sent an information pack. On commencement the students will be introduced to the team and able to ask questions about our service arising from the information pack. They will be allocated a mentor and will work closely with their mentor and other staff, being introduced to all aspects of our service.
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
All qualified staff are assessors. We will allocate a mentor to every student but for a holistic approach the student will work with every member of the team. The student will be guaranteed to work over 40% of their time with their mentor.
The assessment interviews will take place in a timely manner throughout the placement and will be arranged with the student on their arrival.
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Shift Notes:
We work 8.30 – 5pm Monday to Friday over a 37.5 hr week.
