Referrals come via inpatient units: acute services or ‘step down’ from secure services such as low secure or locked rehab. Anson Road take an MDT based approach toward recovery and use the Recovery Star. All clients receive assessment and support from medical team, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, pharmacist, nursing staff and support workers. We also have a consultant who offers Family Intervention sessions. All individuals are supported to work toward their personal recovery goals within the CPA framework.
We have both informal and formal clients within Anson Road including Section 3 and Section 37/41. Clients are encouraged to engage in meaningful activities and social inclusion both on and off the unit. We focus on enabling clients to support themselves.
We facilitate access to educational courses and many go on to achieve voluntary or paid employment. Discharge planning after Anson Road is often to supported accommodation, independent tenancy’s or sometimes a residential setting. Length of stay is approximately 12-18 months.
