About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Assessment and interview times are arranged on commencement of placement. Spoke placements are discussed and arranged depending on the students interest.
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Mentor is met on first day of placement and worked with for 90% of the time on placement.

What patient care situations are available in this placement?
Care is offered by appointment covering areas such as chronic disease management and health promotion. Also sexual health, cervical cytology, travel advice and immunisations, ear syringing, dressings. The work varies from day to day and situations are discussed and treated as they occur.
What nursing model is used for planning care?
As there are so many types of patient illness no one defined model can be used but guidelines and protocols are discussed as they arise.
