About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Introduction and orientation to the team and building. CAMHS student pack. Observe Monday morning Choice group supervision. Access to ADHD clinic and ASD assessment process. Participate in Choice and Partnership appointments. Work with multi agency team workers. If possible observe Child in Need and Safeguarding meetings.

What patient care situations are available in this placement?
Age range is 0 to 16yrs on an out patient basis although some kids are seen at home, school or an alternative venue.
What nursing model is used for planning care?
What core clinical skills can be learnt?
CAMHS care delivery and management based upon the Choice and Partnership system. Developing skills to understand risk assessment and management. Using nursing skills within a multi agency team including the Child In Need and Child Protection arena.
