About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Meeting their Mentor on the first day of their placement or if possible should be within 2 days
Offering associate mentors
Orientation booklet, tour of the building, fire procedures etc. and getting to know the players in the team
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Students to work with their Mentor at least 40% of their shift pattern
Associate mentors available at all times
Mid point / final point to be diarised within the 1st week of placement
Student shift pattern to be placed on off duty
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Shift Notes:
Night: 21:00hrs – 08:00hrs
Days: 08:00hrs – 21:00hrs
Notes: Student should try and adhere to our 24hr shift patterns, 7 days a week, unless prior arrangements have been made or in exceptional circumstance, unavoidable.
