What is organised for students on commencement of placement?

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
We have 2 practice assessors and a total team of 5 who will work together to supervise.
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

NHS comprehensive model of personalised care combined with SCM evidence-based approach
What core clinical skills can be learnt?
SCM assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, rapport building/empathy, documentation & handover, cognitive & analytical skills, ethical & legal practice, safeguarding, confidentiality, psychological and risk formulation, care planning and risk assessment. Leadership skills, clinical dilemma.
What additional clinical skills can be learnt?
Opportunities does develop knowledge skills and awareness of a range of therapies available to clients. Spoke placements for medication related outcomes.

What research and practice development activities are being undertaken?
There is no specific research being under taken in SCM at the present time. We are continuously looking and quality improvement are undertaking a test of change. Research discussions can be held within psychologically therapies.
