About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
On arrival the students will receive a welcome pack. As part of your rotational placement you spend 2 weeks with ourselves (ward 18) and the remainder on ward 9. You will have the opportunity to spend time with bed management.
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
You will be allocated An Assessor and supervisor
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Shift Notes:
Early: 07:30 -15:30
Late: 12:30 – 20:30
Night: n/a
Days: 07:30 – 20:30
Notes: weekend hours 09:00 – 17:30
What patient care situations are available in this placement?
The discharge lounge consists of 8 beds and a seated area which is nurse led.
Bed management and Bronze Control (nurse and operations led)
