Notes:

The University of Salford discourages first and second placement first years from working long shifts but this is negotiable with your PELs. Students are not allowed to work three long days together. Three long days may only give you 36 of the 371/2 hours you have to work in a week, therefore every few weeks you will have to work a half day to make up these hours.

Students do not have to work long days and can work the early and late shifts to make up their 371/2 hours per week.
