About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Students get work alongside and under supervision with there Mentor/Associate Mentor during the placement on unit.
Students are given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of patient care whilst on Unit and gain insite into Critical Care Nursing
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
The student should where possible work with their Mentor or Associate Mentor

What patient care situations are available in this placement?
- All aspect of nursing the care of critically ill patients.
- Medical patients with various illnesses i.e. Acute excicopd type 11 rep failure.
- Caring for patients suffering from a wide range of problems, including surgical, medical, orthopaedic, multiple trauma, obstetrics/gynaecology and renal.
