Time allowed for student assessments and practice assessments.

Early: 08.30 – 16.30

Late: 09.00 – 17.00

Working week Monday to Friday.

Notes: Closed Bank Holidays.

Day case patients: – Admission through to discharge.

Ward inpatients, treatment, and transfer of patients with handover of care.

Limited patient care and assessments.

Additional Information

Students will be required to work in an environment where there is some exposure to radiation, they will be required to wear lead PPE during some procedures. They will be required to read the local rules and sign them as required by IRMER as per all staff.
Please let university and placement know if any chance you could be pregnant.

Only Short placements suitable due to limited patient exposure, (Max. stay of patient 6 hours,)

Not suitable for very first placement of final year students as unable to provide competencies required by students, (such as medicines management, toileting, nutritional support, wound care etc)
