What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
On arrival students will be provided with a welcome booklet, a proposed timetable including details of possible visits that can arranged and training sessions.
Orientation to the department.
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Each learner will be allocated a named practice assessor and all members of the pain management team will be practice supervisors.
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Shift Notes:
Early shifts Monday to Friday only
What patient care situations are available in this placement?
Post operative patients undergoing pain management techniques of patients who require specialist pain management input.
