What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
There is currently one mentor on the team.( Working days for the mentor are Tuesday- Friday)
The team consists of mental health nurses, Social Workers and Support workers. Students will have the opportunity to spend time with other members of the team.

What patient care situations are available in this placement?
We aim to provide a high quality health and social care service to meet the holistic care needs of people in Oldham with a functional or organic illness. We provide person centred care to people over the age of 65 and also provide care for people with an early onset dementia under the age of 65.
We work with people in a variety of different settings – in people’s homes, residential and nursing homes and outpatient’s clinics.
Carers play a vital role in the support of our patients and the team work in accordance with the Care Act ensuring that their needs are met and assessed and that support is provided on a regular basis.
We work with patients who have been detained under the Mental Health Act and we also work under the guidance of the Mental Capacity Act and in people’s best interest. Students may have the opportunity to attend Mental Health Act Tribunals.
Following Safeguarding procedures and working in collaboration with other agencies.
