What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Mentors or associate mentors are allocated to all students on there first day. They have the opportunity to meet all students on their first day. They have the opportunity to meet with their mentor within the first couple of days.
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Early:
07.30 – 15.00
Late:
14.00 – 21.30
Night:
21.15 – 07.45

What patient care situations are available in this placement?
Students are exposed to/observe/hands on personal care for older service users. Majority of service users require support to undertake skills programmes (ADL’s).
What nursing model is used for planning care?
Mainly Hodges Health Career Model/Recovery Framework.
