About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
All students will be allocated a mentor/associate mentor prior to the commencement in practice. The student will receive a welcome pack and will receive a full orientation and induction during the first 48 hours.
Students are welcome to have a pre-visit to the service and partake in their induction prior to commencement in practice and time will be given in lieu (optional).
Please contact the placement no sooner than two weeks prior to commencement to arrange your shift pattern.

Spoke Placements
Students can access a variety of spokes placements which are highlighted in the student welcome pack and in a spoke folder in placement.
Students are expected to complete a spoke placement feedback sheet to identify what learning outcomes they want to achieve, what they learnt from the spoke experience and a discussion with their mentor of their experience and what further development opportunities would support their learning
Additional Information
Students are not required to wear their Uniform but expected to dress smart casual and wear their ID badges at all times.
Students will be visiting clients in their own homes and students are expected to maintain a professional image of the Crisis Resolution Team Treatment Service at all times in and outside clinical areas.
Anybody in inappropriate dress will be sent home immediately on arrival to change
