What is organised for students on commencement of placement?

Student to contact the placement approximately 2 weeks before placement.

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?

Assessors and supervisors are allocated prior to commencing placement.

What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?

Night: 19:30 – 08:00

Days: 07:30 – 20:00

What patient care situations are available in this placement?

Emergency care, treatment and stabilisation of patients before either discharge or admission as an inpatient for further treatment or observation.

The learner will have access to the Trust Library and digital resources such as the Royal Marsden as well ans educational materials within the emergency department.
