What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Local Induction
Induction to the service/unit
Introduction of practice assessor, practice supervisor and all the team.
Rota completed for duration of placement, including spoke placements, directed learning and initial, mid and final assessments.
What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Mentor will be assigned before commencing placement and off duty arranged to work alongside them as much as possible
Time will be factored into their work plan to allow them to spend time with the learner, exploring their learning opportunities and discussion their progress
