About this placement

What is organised for students on commencement of placement?

Welcome pack and brief induction.  Placement is a spoke placement will be for 1 or 2 days.

What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?

There are 2 qualified CPTs who are also pre-registration assessors within the placement

What patient care situations are available in this placement?

The Team is a Corporate service providing advice, support and supervision to members of the NCA.  The team are responsible for the delivery of safeguarding related mandatory training and for disseminating information at a local and national level in relation to policy & procedures for safeguarding children & LAC.

This includes all aspects of health and how ill-health of Parents impacts on safeguarding & development of children including how not meeting the health needs of a child impacts on them directly and in the future.  The placement links directly to public health and the NHS England agenda ensuring children are able to meet their outcomes to the best of their ability.

Additional Information

Spoke placement for year 3 students with a specific interest in safeguarding children. Students should be on a hub placement with the 0-19 team, CCNT or A&E at FGH and have a subject specific learning goal in mind to be considered.
