What are the arrangements for mentors/assessors?
Learners work with the supervisor as much as possible to gain the best experience and to ensure a good overview of the 0-19 service and core programme delivered in line with The Healthy Child Programme.
Mentors attend annual updates and complete a personal professional portfolio showing evidence of learning
What shift patterns are students allocated for learning?
Days: Usually 9am -5pm
Notes:
Core hours 8am-6pm
Does not currently include weekend work, however Learners may spend time with other agencies as a spoke placement that work evenings and weekends.

Additional Information
The UPP deliver a high level of care and support to families that are known to children’s social care.
The team are expert within this field and provide evidence-based care and support to those Children and young people who are open to children’s social care.
They have knowledge of services available to support families
Supervision is accessed as per policy, with additional support available on request.
Staff access training to enhance their skills.
This team works with complex child and family circumstances that require multi- professional involvement.
On your first day, please can you arrive attend St James’s House at 9am. Take the lift to the 7th floor, if travelling in the padded lift turn left out of the lift otherwise turn right. Please use the hand gel in the lobby area before entering the office. There is a small keypad on the left-hand side of the door the code will be given to you when you contact the team.
Please be aware you may be asked to travel to other sites as part of this placement.
