Her level of dedication to her postgraduate studies and the cause of her discipline is highly commendable.

Noor says “The moment I received my nomination email, I looked at my one-year-old daughter, held her and felt so grateful for this recognition. At times where I felt so guilty for undertaking my masters, traveling away from home while she was still 6-month-old baby. To be recognized by your panel as the first Iraqi female to ever enrol in Terrorism and Security Studies master under an FCDO fully funded Chevening scholarship is an amazing opportunity that worth celebrating. I’m looking forward to meet with other nominees from Salford different departments, network and celebrate my hard work, this nomination is definitely the highlight of my Salford Academic year.”
