BA (Hons) Music: Creative Music Technology
Euan is a hugely talented, driven and conscientious student, composer and sound designer. He regularly builds on feedback to develop his creative and academic work, achieving first class grades throughout his degree, and has been a highly engaged student in group sessions. During his final year of studies, he has collaborated with students from our BA (Hons) Dance and MA Film Production courses to create bespoke music and sound design for their own final year projects and events at the University.
Outside of University, Euan is as equally prolific as an artist, composer and producer, with several releases. Before graduating in 2021, Euan released his album ‘In Motion’ inspired by the use of synthesises in 1980s music and the recent rise in popularity of this style. Since it’s release on Spotify in February, he has received over 30,000 monthly listeners on the opening track ‘Night Visions’. Lecturer Simon Connor says “Euan’s drive, talent and support for his fellow students is what makes him an ideal candidate for this award”.
Euan says “It’s a real honour to receive this nomination and I thank all the Music tutors, especially my personal tutor Simon Connor, for making the course a great experience despite all the restrictions and regulations.”
