Anna Wołowicz

BA (Hons) Film Production

Anna has been a key player as part of the BA (Hons) Film Production graduating year group. Aside from her academic studies over the past two years, Anna has demonstrated outstanding initiative and leadership through her work on the in-house student magazine, ‘Cliché’.

Originally a monthly single-paged newsletter, Anna saw the potential to upscale this idea and produce a fully-fledged magazine, run by and for our students. She has since worked tirelessly to turn this vision into a successful reality by independently putting together a team of contributing writers, photographers and designers, from courses across the Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology. The magazine features articles, film reviews, student writing, photography, and fun features, often extending to 30-40 pages. Anna also spearheaded special issues focusing on imperative topics, such as the ‘Women in Film Production’ issue, highlighting first-hand experiences of in the industry and the work still to be done. As Editor, Anna has been an excellent team leader, providing a dynamic and engaging voice for the student community.

Anna says “It is an honour to be a finalist, especially amongst so many talented people. It feels rewarding to be noticed for my creative work. It is something so close to my heart and I am simply happy I could have shared it with others.”
