Tracy introduces you to an important resource called Construction Information Service (CIS).

Construction Information Service (CIS) is an online database from which you can quickly access current regulations, construction standards, technical advice and industry news on building, engineering, design and construction processes in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Updated weekly, the CIS offers a powerful search engine to find authoritative information for every stage of the construction lifecyle, from design and completion to operation and ongoing use. Easy-to-use search filters allow you to query 23,000+ documents from 300+ publishers and more.

CIS is particularly useful for subjects such as; Architecture, Architectural Design and Technology, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction, Construction Project Management and Construction Law.

CIS includes valuable and up-to-date construction-related information, including:

  • BRE reports and papers
  • CIBSE guides and documentation
  • CIOB papers and technical information documentation
  • FIDIC contracts, guides and procedure documentation
  • JCT agreements, contracts and frameworks
  • RIBA contracts, guides and documentation
