Managing Your Research Data – Thursday 22 May 2014

The Library, working with Research & Innovation, has invited the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) to the University of Salford to present an afternoon workshop about data management planning for your grant applications, and managing your data throughout the project lifecycle. This workshop has been designed around the needs of our academic staff who are actively engaged in research projects, or developing project bids.

A three day writing retreat, led by Professor Brenda Cooper
Wednesday to Friday 2-4 July 2014, 09:00-16:00

Open to all disciplines and all career stages, from lecturer to professor levels

We would like to cordially invite academic staff to take part in a three day writing retreat scheduled for July 2014. The retreat is dedicated to the completion of a designated work-in-progress. It will provide colleagues with space outside of work to devote to completing this work and an opportunity to receive feedback from both their peers and from external consultant Prof Brenda Cooper. read more

This way you will be able to benefit from immediate, unrestricted access to the final published version of your paper.

The study tour is part of British Council’s “Internationalising Higher Education” programme, aiming to encourage strategic collaboration between the UK and Ukraine in the area of higher education. It is hoped that the programme will be a catalyst for tangible steps toward reforming the higher education system in Ukraine.

Co-hosted by the University of Bristol, British Council and the UK Higher Education International Unit, the forum brings together UK leaders of higher education sector, industry and government departments to join the debate with 25 senior leaders and managers from Chinese Universities and government departments. This is the fifth time that British Council hosts UK-China Higher Education Forum following the success of the previous four at Derby, York, Cardiff and Nottingham respectively in the past years. read more
