UK-India Civil Nuclear Collaboration Phase III Workshop

4th April 2014

Accommodation and food will be provided and economy class travel expenses will be reimbursed for all participants.

The RCUK Energy Programme invites expressions of interest from those willing to attend a workshop in Oxford on 10 – 12 June 2014 to develop Phase 3 of the UK-India civil nuclear research programmes. Specifically looking at issues around:

  • Nuclear safety and risk
  • New reactor design
  • Public understanding of nuclear safety and risk
  • Nuclear safety policy and regulation

Due to the limited opportunities for such close interaction between UK and Indian researchers this will be a tightly focussed workshop with the emphasis on networking and idea creation resulting in the development of outline proposals. Assessment will take place on the final day and successful investigators will be asked to write up full proposals after the event.

The UK Attendance will comprise of the 11 PIs from the projects funded through the first two UK/India collaborative calls, and up to 14 academics selected via this call.

Workshop will take place between 10 – 12 June 2014

Academics based at UK institutions and working in areas relevant to the workshop are eligible to apply.
