UK Study Visit for Ukraine Educationalists – 10th March 2014 (London)

The study tour is part of British Council’s “Internationalising Higher Education” programme, aiming to encourage strategic collaboration between the UK and Ukraine in the area of higher education. It is hoped that the programme will be a catalyst for tangible steps toward reforming the higher education system in Ukraine.

Briefings from the following UK institutions will be included into the  programme:

  • The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education
  • The Higher Education Academy
  • The Leadership Foundation of Higher Education
  • The UK Higher Education  International Unit
  • 2 leading UK universities

Event aims and objectives:

  • To provide participants with a detailed introduction to UK strategy and approaches, tools and systems to providing quality assurance in higher education
  • To showcase good practice, achievements and challenges in the area of quality assurance in higher education in the UK
  • To provide first-hand insights into the work of quality assurance in the UK, through visits to UK leading universities and input from quality assurance managers and inspectors
  • To review the different elements of UK quality provisions as potential models for national reform plans in Ukraine
  • To provide participants with an introduction to UK experience in developing and improving management and leadership skills of existing and future leaders of higher education
  • To provide participants with opportunities to network with UK experts in the field of quality assurance and leadership skills development
