WOO: Windows of Opportunity is a site for the students and staff of the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology at the University of Salford to share their stories and celebrate their achievements.
The University of Salford has been at the forefront of education and technology for over a century from its beginnings as a technical college (Royal Technical Institute) in the 19th century. It continues to be a leading research and creative force in the North West.
The WOO: Windows of Opportunity re-brand and relaunch includes images from a 1933-34 prospectus for Salford School of Art, which features photographs taken in the Peel Building (which remains at the heart of our campus today) in a beautiful Modernist publication that reflects the way in which Salford has been at the cutting edge for so long. The University of Salford continues in this tradition of mixing creativity and the latest innovations in creative media.
