Our annual BAFTARS ceremony, which recognises the achievements of second and third year students on our BA (Hons) Television and Radio Production course, takes place at 6pm on Thursday 8th July.

The winners will be announced during the live, socially distanced ceremony – which will broadcast on the Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology Facebook page and here, on the WOO: Windows of Opportunity website.

Lyndon Saunders, Programme Leader on the Television and Radio Production course, says “The BAFTARS is a fab event in the course calendar because it’s more than just an end of year awards ceremony. It’s for the students, by the students and the production values are just fantastic. Our broadcast trained students prove that they’re just as keen to make content beyond what’s needed for their degree; and they stay at university, rather than heading home, to put their all into producing a glitzy awards do to celebrate one another’s great success.

“The BAFTARS also has real industry kudos, with the great and the good from national broadcast judging the categories and having eyes and ears on the best work from our second and third years. I know for a fact that first industry jobs have come from this unique opportunity to connect our students and new graduates with some really supportive people of influence from the media.”

Good luck to all our amazing student finalists!
