The Skin You’re In is a book inspired by the traditional Japanese aesthetic Wabi-Sabi, in which imperfections are celebrated.

As one of the many who struggle with a negative body image, I wanted to produce an inclusive piece of work to create conversation around body image and mental health.

I want the book to feel like a safe space for reflection, where I encourage your own interpretation of the continuous line and illustrations.

Working on this project has allowed me to celebrate my own imperfections, I hope this work inspires you to love the skin you are in too.
