About this placement
What is organised for students on commencement of placement?
Before you start your placement on H2 we would ask that you email the PELs (email link above) so that we could send you the welcome pack and the work book. You are expected to read them through and undertake the activities in the work book before the start of your placement, if you can, as this will help to orientate you. The work book is a simple exercise to establish your basic knowledge of hand washing, ANTT and the respiratory system. On the first day, we ask you to bring your practice assessment document / practice assessment record and learning agreement (that can be accessed via the onlinePARE.net if necessary).
You will then be able identify learning needs and opportunities with the help of your mentor. We would also ask that you familiarise yourselves with the ward/trust policies.
