Shuiab is a journalist and columnist at the Lancashire Telegraph and Editor of the Asian Image. He launched the Blackburn based Asian Image in 1997 and the title was later acquired by Newsquest in 2001. He is the founder of the national Asian Media Awards held in Manchester which is now in its 11th year. He also helps to run Bangor Street Community Centre the largest community centre in the North of England.
