The Manchester Sky Ride 2011 is taking place this Sunday, August 7 with up to 10,000 cyclists expected to take advantage of traffic free streets in the city centre.
Cyclists will be able to travel along a 11.5km route between Castlefield and Sport City that will be totally traffic free between 10am and 4pm. The Sky Ride is free to register here and suitable for all ages.
The Sky Ride campaign aims to get a million more people riding a bike by 2013 and is being championed by Olympic athletes and celebrities with many other towns and cities also hosting an event.
