Last week we launched Virtual Peel Park – a digital tool which makes the park more accessible to all.
The project is led by Dr Simon Hutchinson from SEE, in collaboration with our team and the Salford Ranger Team. The tool has been co-created by salford uni staff, students, and local community. It includes information on transport links, accessibility, biodiversity and cultural heritage, in and around the park.

Mayor of Salford, Councillor Paul Dennett, attended the launch event last week, along with a number of Councillors from SCC and colleagues from Salford uni.
Earlier this year, Virtual Peel Park was nominated as finalist in the prestigious Green Gown Awards which recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives undertaken by universities and colleges across the world. The winners will be announced at the end of this month.
