Add ‘Microsoft Office Specialist’ to your CV

Now you can demonstrate to prospective employers that you have the key digital skills that they require. Pass exams in Microsoft Office applications and achieve ‘Microsoft Office Specialist’ (MOS) certification.

Microsoft Office is the world’s number one office productivity software and is used in most companies around the world. When applying for jobs you can send potential employers a digital transcript proving that you have those in-demand skills. It’s a great way to stand out from those who simply state “I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office”.

What’s available?

  • MOS Associate exams are available in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • You decide how many exams you want to sit and which applications. Which qualifications will enhance your CV?
  • Expert levels are available if you want to challenge yourself further.

What’s the benefit to you?

  • Proven evidence of your IT skills.
  • Increase your job marketability.
  • Improve your workplace performance.

The Library’s MOS programme is free to all current students and staff. The free interactive training software allows you to build on your existing knowledge, and prepare for MOS exams as it mimics the real thing.

Graduating this summer?

This is your opportunity to complete your degree with additional industry recognised qualifications.

By registering now you will still be eligible to sit MOS exams during the summer as they are running from May to September. The invigilated exams are available off campus too, which is ideal if you will have returned to your home base elsewhere in the UK or further afield.

Extra dates will be added in response to demand, and if you are unable to attend on the scheduled exam dates then get in touch with us at studentdigitalskills@salford.ac.uk and we’ll see what we can do!
