Our researchers are helping policymakers to understand the role of supporting communities to prepare for disaster, exploring the built environment’s influence on community structures and collaboration, and investigating urban and rural dynamics in order to develop approaches that encourage cultural change.
The impact of our work to help communities across the global to thrive aligns strongly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals on Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3), and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
