James Paul Watson attended The University of Salford after being discharged from The British Army. He had suffered a spinal injury, and after having it fused earlier that year, he decided to embark on an academic adventure.

Watson studied history at The University of Salford and since has become a local councillor in Wigan and released a book explaining the impacts of warfare: Life after Death – A Guardsman’s Tale.

George Icke, from the Alumni Engagement Team, caught up with James Paul Watson to discuss his story & the book.
