Go Green Salford 2024

Go Green Salford our annual, home grown engagement programme for sustainability.  It runs between Monday 4 March – Friday 22 March

Events will raise awareness of the importance of sustainability, and encourage positive change amongst University of Salford students, staff, and the local community.

What’s happening?

 You can get involved with gardening, guided walks, pop-up stalls, litter picks, and even wildlife surveys.

Highlights include…

Hedgerow Planting on Monday 4 March

Media City Litter Pick & Community Garden Session on Wednesday 6 March

Gardening Taster Sessions on Friday 8 March and Friday 22 March

Decarbonisation Strategy Town Hall Event on Tuesday 12 March

We’ve also partnered with Salford Ranger Team who’ll be running events as part of Go Green Salford, so if you fancy getting involved in some guided nature walks, doing some gardening, or even getting involved with the Bioblitz then take a look at these activities to book your place soon.

Megan Hubbard from the Sustainability Office said…

“Go Green Salford events are open to everyone, it’s important we all understand how we can contribute to a more sustainable Salford. There is something for everyone and I am particularly excited for the Bioblitz events happening on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 March.”

Spring Wildlife with David Winnard

Amphibian identification with Robert Jehle

Bat walk with Christoph Meyer

Small mammal monitoring and identification workshop
