Salford & Manchester are known for the rain but there are plenty of places on campus where you can spend your time if you get caught out in a shower or two.
The library
The Clifford Whitworth Library on our Peel Park campus has many places where you can relax with your friends or finish your next assignments. There are three floors with a range of areas for group and solo study.

The library on the third floor of our MediaCity campus also has spaces for study.
Food & drink
If you’re feeling hungry, campus has lots of places to visit. The Old Fire Station opposite our Peel and Maxwell buildings has freshly made food and drink, both hot and cold. The Coffee Hut outside University House also has a wide range (with £1 coffee available too!). There are also plenty of Eat & Drink outlets across campus which offer various items. I personally love the £2 jacket potatoes in the Maxwell café!

Things to do
Salford Museum & Art Gallery in between our Peel and Maxwell buildings is also a great visit when the weather takes a turn. With free entry, there’s even Lark Hill Place: a recreated Victorian street taking you back over 150 years in Salford’s history.
There’s plenty of culture to explore in this building, with a range of exhibitions on rotation every season.
