The new academic year is here! Read a letter from a member of staff who has written a letter especially for you with their advice on how you can make the most of your time as a Salford student.

This letter was written by Lucy, a Media and Performance graduate. They identified themselves as an undergraduate student.

Dear student,

My advice would be to try and put yourself out there, even though it may feel hard at the beginning. The best thing I did was take the leap and talk to new people in the first couple of weeks. I now have friends for life.

University at the beginning can be a daunting place but when you have people around you it won’t feel like that anymore.

Best wishes,

– Lucy, Media and Performance graduate
