By now, we’re sure you’re beginning to form an understanding of the industry you desire to get into and what it takes academically to get there. So we’re not going to bore you with grades that employers desire on a generic level, but instead focus on revealing the integral skills that employers  look for in a graduate, as these are the skills (if you have them) that you should put forward within your application covering letter or CV.

James Bentham graduated from Salford in 2010 with a BSc in Geography. He is now Head of Account Management at Search Laboratory. In this blog post James shares his top five lessons in personal branding based on his experience in digital marketing.

Walking out of education and into the real world can be a daunting process, financially. There will be times where you may feel worse off than you did as a student and feel confused as to how to make your money last. But don’t worry, we’re here to help.

The prospect of graduating can be a daunting one. Up until now, you’ve had much of your life planned out for you and grouped into relatively short-term, academic milestones. But now you’re pushed into the world on your own and left to decide where you want your life to go.
